Hi! I’m Paul.

Welcome to the mind of the world’s biggest architecture nerd!

I’m an architect-trained writer and editor based in New York City. As Architizer's Publisher and Editor-In-Chief, I specialize in telling stories about the world's best buildings and spaces, and celebrating the designers that bring them to life.

My journey has been long and winding:

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh and UCL and practicing as an architect in the UK, I flew to San Francisco to volunteer as a writer for non-profit Architecture for Humanity.

Having discovered my content calling, I dove into design media with Architizer and have since been published in Architectural Digest, PIN—UP Magazine, Archinect, Aesthetica Magazine and PUBLIC Journal.

I’ve also presented talks and moderated panels for dozens of industry organizations including Design Miami, AIANY, Neocon, KBIS and Aesthetica Magazine's Future Now Symposium.

I even got to present a special award to Lord Norman Foster in Frank Gehry’s Louis Vuitton Foundation — I’m still getting over the excitement!

Now, I’m rolling everything I’ve learned over the past 20+ years into fun, bite-sized lessons for architects and writers.
